Those who travelled along the ancient Silk Road through China would often need a place to rest before continuing on their journey, and in response, many teahouses opened. She cherishes her connection to the language as a vital link to her ancestry.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Gillian fondly recalls dim sum gatherings that served as opportunities for family bonding and cherished conversations. From language to customs and festive celebrations, Gillian\u2019s family recognizes the value of safeguarding these cultural pillars, nurturing a strong sense of identity along the way.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cThe most rewarding aspect of my work is the inclusive environment that fosters connections with international students.
