Its cooking method is characterized by how early Filipino natives slow-cooked their meat in clay pots using vinegar and salt. They did this as a means of preservation because the acidic nature of vinegar prevented the growth of bacteria in their foods, which was critical due to the high humidity in the Philippine Islands.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Meet Racel Pajancon, a proud Filipino immigrant passionate about sharing her culture with others. Racel grew up with her grandparents, who continuously stressed the importance of enjoying meals together as a family. She vividly remembers watching her grandmother make Adobo, a pork dish marinated in spices and vegetables.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">She aims to share her culture with her community through gourmet cookies inspired by traditional Filipino desserts.
